Sorry Rita, I originally deleted your post as I confused it with spam (since that's 99% of what I get). Thanks heaps for your story, it's really motivating and gives more evidence towards the benefits of raw food dieting!

I have been completely raw for 9 mos. I have lost 84 lbs. My blood work has gone from off the charts poor to health and great normal or better. (Cholesterol from 210 to 145, A1C from 12 to 5, Good Cholesterol from 17 to 65, BP from 165/92 to a consistant 110/60) All of my results were 6 wks after going raw , cold turkey and they are still great after 9 mos. 9 mos ago I was 319 lbs (before that I was as high as 345), on oxygen 24-7, riding around in a scooter; now I have been off the oxygen for 8 mos, I no longer have to use a scooter and I am down to 235. I have more energy, I can actually prepare meals for my non raw family where before I had to sit in a roll around chair. The doctors had told me I had less than 5 yrs to live unless I made a drastic life change so here I am 9 mos later in better health than I have been since ever. I personally could not be only 90% or so raw because have to be 100% raw because I have an addictive personality. I smoked from the time I was 14 until I was 45 and I know if I have even one bite of "regular" food I will not be able to maintain my raw diet. I know inorder to continue in good health and lose the excess lbs (110 lbs to go) I must remain 100% raw for the rest of my life, I am 58 yrs as of this yr. Thanks for letting me share my story with you. RT
