Raw Food Diet Information and Review
Raw Food Dieting
Raw food dieting consists of a life-style which elevates the importance and amount of un-processed and un-cooked food in order to obtain greater health benefits.
Some pages have a habit of giving bogus information and analogies on the benefits of dieting this way such as
- “Living food, living body, dead food, dead body, the concept is simple.”
- “This diet creates vast health benefits. Although the reasons aren’t known, the experience is undeniable”.
You really shouldn’t be so naive and gullible to believe claims and statements like these. Sure, the raw food benefits could be there, but don’t just jump into a new diet because of un-proven statements. Ask specialists and nutrionists! Read about it more.
A proven fact however, is the benefits your digestive system receives from raw food dieting. Our digestive systems process raw food with greater ease, and without some of the acidic and extra components in cooked food, so if you’ve got a particular sensitive bowel, you may very well notice the benefit of eating raw food.
This is due to the fact that heating food past 100 degrees destroys many enzymes essential in aiding digestion.
There are many branches of raw food elitists, such as fruitarianism.
People who undertake a raw food diet suddenly without gradually converting from cooked food may experience a sudden change in negative symptoms. Rick fits perfectly into this position before he felt the benefits of eating raw food.
Raw Food Diet Plan
After being recommended by a friend after I complained to her about constant bloating and headaches, she commented that I eat too much out-of-the-can microwave and fast food. The concept of ‘raw food’ kind of put me off at first since the first thing that popped into my head was raw meat. She became pretty enthusiastic and drew up a raw food diet plan for me. Basically, it consisted of:
Breakfast
A fruit and nut salad with a side of organic milk.Lunch
A vegetable salad with dressing with a side of fresh fruit juice.Dinner
Organic vegetable soup with a side of cheese, milk or water.A week or so in, I plain out felt like crap. My headaches were even worse than before, I became really irritable and tired and began blaming my friend for setting this diet up for me. I’d lost weight too, which pissed me off more since I was trying to Gain weight, particularly muscle mass.
Well, come day 16 and I woke up…suprisingly nimble. I craved more organic fresh food, and had basically no desire to consume anything cooked or processed. I physically felt great too - I had so much energy. To get around my desire for muscle mass while continuing on this diet which seemed beneficial now, I thought I might sneak in some protein and growth supplements. The next day, I’m back to feeling like hell - whether it was a cooincidence, I’m not sure, but I left the supplements alone for the time being.
I knew I couldn’t ever eat cooked food again, so 2 weeks later I returned to eating it even though I felt so good on the current diet. After raw food dieting, I’ve been trying to sneak in as much extra vegetables and fruits into my diet. It was a good experience!

I have been completely raw for 9 mos. I have lost 84 lbs. My blood work has gone from off the charts poor to health and great normal or better. (Cholesterol from 210 to 145, A1C from 12 to 5, Good Cholesterol from 17 to 65, BP from 165/92 to a consistant 110/60) All of my results were 6 wks after going raw , cold turkey and they are still great after 9 mos. 9 mos ago I was 319 lbs (before that I was as high as 345), on oxygen 24-7, riding around in a scooter; now I have been off the oxygen for 8 mos, I no longer have to use a scooter and I am down to 235. I have more energy, I can actually prepare meals for my non raw family where before I had to sit in a roll around chair. The doctors had told me I had less than 5 yrs to live unless I made a drastic life change so here I am 9 mos later in better health than I have been since ever. I personally could not be only 90% or so raw because have to be 100% raw because I have an addictive personality. I smoked from the time I was 14 until I was 45 and I know if I have even one bite of “regular” food I will not be able to maintain my raw diet. I know inorder to continue in good health and lose the excess lbs (110 lbs to go) I must remain 100% raw for the rest of my life, I am 58 yrs as of this yr. Thanks for letting me share my story with you. RT

Sorry Rita, I originally deleted your post as I confused it with spam (since that’s 99% of what I get). Thanks heaps for your story, it’s really motivating and gives more evidence towards the benefits of raw food dieting!
