Many people browse the net, books or other means seeking quick, easy and effective dieting. I’m sorry to break it to you, but although there are forms of quick dieting, they aren’t effective. The term ‘quiet dieting’ is synonymous to crash dieting. If you lose weight ‘quickly’, your metabolism will drop suddenly, and won’t be able to process incoming calories as fast as you should be.
This in turn will convert more calories into fat. There are however, steps you can take to create a quicker, healthier diet.
Healthy Dieting Tips
Portion control:
If you are disciplined enough, you can simply resist the temptations for sweets and take-away food. If you’re like most of us who give in to cravings, use treats as rewards: Only after you exercise, only once a day etc.
Stay hydrated:
No matter what situation you’re in with exercise or dieting, staying hydrated is essential. It will also make you feel fuller, possibly nullifying your cravings.
Stack on the proteins:
Protein filled foods (meat, dairy) will make you feel as full as eating carbs or sugars but won’t be transferred into fat as easy. It will also help develop muscle - just watch out that the food isn’t full of saturated fats aswell (i.e fast food).
Stack on the vegetables:
A wonderfood - loaded with nutrients, vitamins and minerals without any bad side effects. Make sure you eat a variety of vegetables however to avoid excessive pesticide residue.
EXERCISE!:
Ideally, eat after you train- your metabolism will be boosted by exercise, filtering out more fats and negatives while leaving in essential health.
Assorted Dieting tips:
- You’ll be less motivated to eat more food if you brush your teeth - find the best strategic time of your day where you feel you’ll give into temptation and give it a go.
- Avoid snacking foods such as chips - you’ll eat out of control, then probably follow it up with an unhealthy drink.
